If you are spending time building up your housing plot in Palia, you are likely looking to grow more trees and gather useful items. Juniper Seeds are one of the rarer finds, and they play a key role in expanding what your land can offer. Knowing where and how to collect them can save you a lot of guesswork.
Here’s how you can go about it with a little more clarity and less trial and error.
Where To Find Juniper Seeds in Palia?
You will need to make your way to Bahari Bay to even have a chance at finding these seeds. To reach it, start from the back end of your housing plot. There’s a wooden pathway leading toward a mine — that’s your direction. Once you cross through that area, you will enter the larger Bahari Bay region.
Within Bahari Bay, there are specific spots where your chances are better.
Flooded Fortress Area
If you head just south after stepping into Bahari Bay, you will come across the Flooded Fortress. The area contains several large trees with orange-red leaves — these are the Sapwood Trees you are looking for.
Only these trees drop Juniper Seeds, and not all of them do. So you may need to chop down more than one. Make sure your axe is strong enough. The Standard Axe is the lowest tier that works here. If you are still using the Makeshift Axe, you won’t be able to cut down the Sapwood Trees.

Proudhorn Pass Zone
This location is further east than where you first entered Bahari Bay. As you move toward Proudhorn Pass, start checking the fields just north of it. Sapwood Trees tend to appear near the windmill and a small mountain in that region. You might not spot them immediately, but a little exploration pays off.
Again, you will need your upgraded axe for this part. Without it, the trip may not be worth it.
Alternate Way To Get Juniper Seeds in Palia
If you are not having luck with chopping, there is a safer option. Head to the Foraging Guild Store and check in with Ashura. There, Juniper Seeds are available in exchange for 10 Foraging Medals. It’s a slower method, but it lets you collect them without relying on chance.
How To Use Juniper Seeds in Palia
Once you have the seed in your hands, you have to decide what to do with it. These are rare, and the drop rate isn’t generous. There are a few options available:
- Plant it: Use it on your plot to grow your own Juniper Tree.
- Sell it: Doing so gives you 19 Gold.
- Gift it: Some villagers — Badruu, Hekla, Nai’o, and Hodari — may appreciate it.
- Quest usage: It’s required for the quest titled Prove Your Devotion.
Since the seed doesn’t come easy, using it carelessly can leave you regretting it later. Planting it helps in the long run, especially if you plan to gather more tree-based resources regularly.
