Reach the Required Fishing Level
Start by concentrating on your Fishing skill. You will need to get it to level 7 before you are even eligible to access the Sushi recipe. Stick to a routine of fishing in various places. Target unfamiliar fish and explore different waters. This approach ensures that your experience bar keeps moving. New catches contribute more to your growth, so variety is important.
Set Up Your Bait Production
Once you reach level 7 in Fishing, you gain access to a unique type of bait: Glow Worms. These aren’t bought directly—they need to be created. You can get the Glow Worm Farm from Einar at the Fishing Guild in Kilima Valley. It costs 2,000 Gold, so plan your spending carefully.
To build this farm, gather these items:
- 12 Flow-Infused Planks
- 8 Stone Bricks
- 3 Iron Bars
- 6 Leather
Make sure your crafting setup supports this construction. Once it’s built, you can begin producing Glow Worms using various inputs. Ingredients like Bok Choy, Blueberries, Chapaa Meat, and Apples all work. Keep feeding the farm regularly to keep the bait flowing.
Find the Sushi Recipe
Now, attach the Glow Worms to your line and fish in any pond you prefer. There’s no exact location, so choose one you are comfortable with. The Sushi recipe isn’t given—it’s caught. Look for a small glass bottle while fishing. This will contain the recipe. Once caught, open your inventory and learn it by selecting the appropriate option.
Catching this bottle can take time. Don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t appear right away. The catch rate is low, so this step is more about persistence than speed.
How To Cook Sushi in Palia
Once you have added the recipe to your collection, gather the following ingredients:
- 1 Dari Clove
- 1 Fish (any type)
- 1 Heat Root
- 1 Vinegar
- 1 Rice
- 1 Sweet Leaf
Your cooking setup will also need these stations:
- 2 Prep Stations
- 1 Standard Stove
- 1 Mixing Station
Start by boiling the rice using the Standard Stove. This gives you Cooked Rice. Over at the Mixing Station, turn the Sweet Leaf into Ground Sweet Leaf. Combine that with the Cooked Rice and Vinegar to make Sushi Rice.
