There are various food items throughout the island, that you can consume, each serving a different purpose. While some could prove poisonous, some could help remove any status effects or heal you. The honeycomb is one such item that proves useful during the later stages of the game. Getting honeycomb is tough due to the obstacles in your path.
In this article, we will discuss how to find and use honeycombs in PEAK.
How To Find a Honeycomb in PEAK
Honeycombs can only be found as drops from beehives. There is a particular set of trees that spawn beehives, and these can be found around the tropics biome, right after the shore. Collecting these honeycombs is useful to help restore your hunger bar as well as boost your stamina bar. It also serves another purpose, that is, adding to the requirements of achieving the Gourmand Badge. Sometimes, the honeycombs would not be on the ground, and you would need to scale the tree to collect them.
One of the obstacles you are bound to face is beehives. These are found high up in the trees. To reach them, you can climb up using ropes. But beware of the bees surrounding the beehive, ready to inflict damage on you when you try to break their home. If the bees attack you, you will be inflicted by the poison status effect, with the chances of you fainting if already hungry.
The only way to escape the bees is by being quick on your feet. Stand at a distance and use a projectile to hit the beehive, prompting the bees to chase you and immediately make a run for it. As soon as you escape a certain radius around the bees, they will stop chasing you, allowing you to escape. Once the bees disperse from the area, return and collect the honeycombs.
How To Find a Honeycomb in PEAK
- Open your inventory.
- Select the Honeycomb and equip it.
- Now, throw it on the ground and break it.
- The honeycomb will open, breaking into several honeycombs. You can either eat these or share them with your friends.
