Collecting badges is one of the side quests you can engage with in PEAK. One of the perks of these quests is the rewards in the form of cosmetics you collect. Each quest is different, requiring you to complete a set of challenges to complete it successfully. One of the badges you can collect is the Mycology badge.

In this article, we will delve into the specifics of attaining the Mycology Badge in Peak.

Acquiring the Mycology Badge requires you to collect and eat four different mushrooms. These, however, have to be non-poisonous, as the poisonous ones don’t count in the total tally. If you consume a poisonous mushroom in the middle of the challenge, you don’t need to worry, as it won’t have an effect on the order.

Mushrooms are a harder resource to stumble upon, as they are spread far and wide across the map, increasing the time you take to find them. It is hence advisable to play the game in the tenderfoot mode as you wouldn’t have to worry about the time limit, hunger meter, and other aspects. This will make your quest smoother and less stressful.

PEAK in a cheeky manner adds a twist to the way you identify and eat mushrooms. While there are only four different types of mushrooms in the game, three out of these four have both a poisonous and a non-poisonous variant. As you approach any mushrooms, their name will hover on the screen.

But just picking up a mushroom and believing it to be non-poisonous won’t cut it. But there are some ways to identify one from the other. Let us look at a list of the mushrooms in the table below.
