PEAK has a bunch of badges as part of its achievement system in-game. You need to complete specific tasks to obtain these badges. The latest MESA update has added a new biome alongside a bunch of new badges for you to obtain.

Needlepoint Badge Requirements in PEAK
You need to get cacti attached to your character. However, you need to be careful, as getting attached to a cactus can cause some damage. Hitting too many cacti could result in all your health dropping, and you will be unable to obtain the badge as a result.
The exact description says, “Have a lot of cactuses stuck to you”. It is preferred to do this task with a friend, just in case you accidentally succumb to the cacti. Once you have five of these thorny objects attached to you, carefully take them all out and toss them away. You will not immediately get this badge to confirm your success.
You will have to finish the run to check if you are eligible for the badge or not.
