According to the now-deleted PlayStation Store post, Monster Hunter Wilds’ TU2 is scheduled to go live on June 30, 2025. This falls perfectly in line with Capcom’s plans of releasing TU2 at the end of this month. The update will go live on all platforms (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC) at the same time. As is the case with a title update, it won’t be available to pre-load on consoles ahead of release.

Furthermore, before the update, the game’s online servers will likely go down for maintenance. Do keep an eye on Capcom and Monster Hunter’s social channels (official X accounts) to stay up to date on maintenance and update timings.

As for the file size of the update itself, that’s not revealed yet. However, considering the amount of content TU2 is adding to the game, it should be around the ballpark of 5-8 GB, if not more.

According to the leak, with TU2, Monster Hunter Wilds is getting two new monsters. The first is confirmed to be Lagiscrus, based on the monster images as well as weapons showcased in the leak. However, the second monster has not been confirmed, with some fans speculating it might be Bazelgeuse.

In addition to these new monsters, the game will also receive the Layered Weapons system, allowing players to switch the look of their weapons without altering the stats. Furthermore, the update will also feature Arch-Tempered Uth Duna, alongside the Gamma version of the Apex Monster’s armor set.

Lastly, alongside TU2, Capcom will release a new paid DLC pack. The DLC will include cosmetics for the Hunter, Palico, and the Seikret. There are also going to be free rewards like a Doshaguma Mask, which will be tied to new event quests.
