Do not miss the December 2024 Community Day in Pokemon GO! This two-day celebration takes place on Saturday, December 21, and Sunday, December 22, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. It’s packed with bonuses, special encounters, and opportunities to catch or evolve Pokemon with exclusive moves. Let’s break it all down so you can make the most of this exciting event.
Event Schedule
- Dates: Saturday, December 21, and Sunday, December 22, 2024
- Event Time: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time
- Extended Bonus Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time
Bonuses
Here are the perks you can enjoy during the event:
- 2× XP for catching Pokemon.
- 2× Stardust for catching Pokemon.
- Eggs placed in Incubators during the event will hatch at half the usual distance.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokemon.
- 2× chance for Trainers (level 31+) to get Candy XL from catching Pokemon.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) and Lure Modules are activated for the last three hours of the event.
- One additional Special Trade (maximum of two per day).
- 50% less Stardust is required for trades.
Featured Pokemon
Each day has its own set of featured Pokemon appearing more frequently between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. local time. From 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., any of the featured Pokemon might appear. And, if you are lucky, you might come across the Shiny version of them as well.

Special Wild Encounters
Apart from the Pokemon mentioned in the table, during the last 10 minutes of each hour (2:50 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., etc.), you may encounter these Pokemon:

- Beldum
Eggs
Pokemon featured in 2023’s Community Days will hatch from 2 km Eggs. These include:
- Slowpoke
- Galarian Slowpoke
- Poliwag
- Togepi
- Wooper
- Paldean Wooper
- Timburr
- Axew
- Chespin
- Fennekin
- Froakie
- Grubbin
- Noibat
(Shiny versions may hatch if you’re lucky!)
