Let’s discover how to get Bisharp and evolve it into Kingambit in Pokemon GO during the Crown Clash event.

Getting certain Pokemon often requires more than a simple encounter. Bisharp and Kingambit fall into this category. If you are aiming to add both to your collection, you will need to work with intention. Each step builds on the last, so take your time and plan your play sessions carefully.
How To Get Bisharp and Kingambit in Pokemon GO

Catching Pawniard in the Wild
During the Crown Clash event running from May 10, at 10:00 a.m. to May 18, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time, Pawniard can be found in the wild. Though it is not extremely common, some players may encounter it more frequently than usual during this time. The key is to move around and check different habitats. If Pawniard does not appear right away, keep exploring.
Battling in One-Star Raids
Pawniard will also be featured in One-Star Raid battles during the event. If you are struggling to locate one in the wild, try checking the raid map and join a raid either solo or with a friend. Raid encounters are one of the most consistent ways to catch specific Pokemon during events.
Field Research Task Rewards
Look out for event-themed Field Research tasks tied to the Crown Clash celebration. These tasks can award encounters with Pawniard once completed. Spin PokeStops during the event to collect them. Each task will be different, so it’s worth checking your journal and seeing which tasks lead to this reward.
Collection Challenge Completion
A Collection Challenge will also go live during this event. It focuses on catching and evolving specific Pokemon. By completing the requirements, you will encounter Pawniard. This also benefits players aiming for evolution-based bonuses, since Trainers above Level 31 will get a guaranteed Candy XL for each successful evolution during the challenge.
Evolving Pawniard to Bisharp
Once you have caught a Pawniard, you will need to evolve it using Pawniard Candy. Keep catching, walking, or transferring extras to build up the required amount. Candy accumulation may take some time, especially if you only catch a few during the event, so use Pinap Berries whenever possible to speed this up.
How To Evolve Bisharp into Kingambit
Evolving Bisharp into Kingambit involves a specific set of tasks. First, make Bisharp your buddy. After that, you must defeat 15 Dark-type or Steel-type Pokemon in Raid Battles while Bisharp is still your buddy. The wins don’t have to come from Bisharp itself. You can use any team for the battles as long as Bisharp remains active as your walking partner during those raids. Once this is done and you have enough Candy, the evolution option will become available.
Can Bisharp Be Shiny in Pokemon GO?

Pawniard and Bisharp are available in their shiny versions, provided you are lucky. You might find a shiny Pawniard in the wild, from raids, or through Field Research and Collection Challenge rewards. However, Kingambit cannot be caught directly in the wild, so if you want a shiny Kingambit, you will need to evolve a shiny Bisharp. Make sure you check your Pawniard and Bisharp before evolving, as the shiny version carries through.
