Mudsdale is now available in Pokemon GO, making its debut in the City Safari: Santiago and Mumbai events on March 29, 2025. Alongside it, trainers also got their first chance to encounter its shiny version. This Ground-type Pokemon originally appeared in the Sun and Moon games. Although you can add it to your collection, the opportunities to do so are limited.
How To Get Mudsdale in Pokemon GO
You have two ways to obtain Mudsdale: evolving Mudbray or trading with another trainer.
1. Evolve Mudbray
Mudbray, the pre-evolution of Mudsdale, was also introduced during the City Safari: Santiago and Mumbai events. Those with event tickets could catch Mudbray and work toward evolving it. To get a Mudsdale, collect 50 Candy and use it on Mudbray. If you manage to find a shiny Mudbray, evolving it with 50 Candy will result in a shiny Mudsdale.
2. Trade
Trading is another option to get Mudsdale in Pokemon GO. You will need an in-person meetup with a friend in the game, as Pokemon GO only allows trades when both trainers are physically close.
Subsequently, Trading Mudsdale requires Stardust. If you have never owned this Pokemon, the exchange falls under Special Trades, which demand significantly more Stardust. During the City Safari event, ticket holders benefited from reduced Stardust costs for Special Trades.
Shiny Mudsdale can also be traded. If your friends have extra, they might be willing to help you complete your collection.
