This walkthrough guide gives you a step-by-step description of the A Job for Team MZ quest in Pokemon Legends Z-A.

The A Job for Team MZ is among the mid to late-game quests in Pokemon Legends Z-A. Furthermore, it is also one of the few quests that can be quite challenging or a breeze, depending on your party. It’s essentially yet another summon from Vinnie from Quasartico Inc. However, this time around, you’re tasked with taking down more challenging Rogue Mega Evolutions.
It’s a fairly short quest, comprising three sub-quests, each dedicated to one Rogue Mega Evolution. That said, each of these Mega Evolutions can be quite a challenge, especially if you don’t have the right Pokemons to counter them. Here’s a comprehensive walkthrough guide on A Job for Team MZ in Pokemon Legends Z-A.

As always, the quest starts at Hotel Z with Vinnie alerting Taunie/Urbain about three more Rogue Mega Evolutions across Lumoise City. The quest starts with Team MZ starting a strategy meeting. Just like the past Rogue Mega Evolution quests, the quest is divided into three parts, each being assigned to one member of Team MZ (save for the player character).
This time around, you’re facing Mega Evolved Beedrill, Hawlucha, and Banette. Compared to the previous Rogue Mega Evolutions that you faced in Pokemon Legends Z-A, the aforementioned pokemons are a significant step up in terms of difficulty. However, taking them down comes with a substantially bigger payout.
You will find Rogue Mega Beedrill in Vert District, Rogue Mega Hawlucha at Sector 3, and Rogue Mega Banette near Wild Zone 8.
Rogue Mega Beedrill

You will find Rogue Mega Beedrill at the Vert District in Lumoise City. First, you need to make your way to the building adjacent to Cafe Classe. From there, simply parkour to reach Taunie/Urbain and ultimately, the Rogue Mega Beedrill. As for Mega Beedrill, it’s weak to the following:
- Fire
- Rock
- Psychic
- Flying
As such, we recommend bringing:
- Charizard
- Aerodactyl
- Camerupt
Rogue Mega Hawlucha

You will find the Rogue Mega Hawlucha at Sector 3 in Lumoise City. Once you reach the location of the Hawlucha, you will meet Lida, who will join you on this battle. As for Mega Hawlucha, here are its weaknesses:
- Ice
- Flying
- Electric
- Psychic
- Fairy
As such, we recommend bringing:
- Manectric
- Slowbro
- Gardevoir
Rogue Mega Banette

Finding Rogue Mega Banette is a bit tricky. The map will show that the pokemon is within Wild Zone 8. However, you won’t find Banette in the Wild Zone. Instead, the Pokemon can be found between the Wild Zone and the nearby Pokemon Center (north of Wild Zone 6). You will find Naveen standing near the location.
And after meeting him (and a short cutscene), Banette will show itself. As for Mega Banette, here are its weaknesses:
- Ghost
- Dark
As such, we recommend bringing:
- Absol
- Sharpedo
- Houndoom
After pacifying all the Rogue Mega Evolutions, you will complete the A Job for Team MZ quest in Pokemon Legends Z-A.
