This Pokemon Legends Z-A walkthrough will walk you through the “A Rogue Mega Barbaracle” main story mission in the game.
Pokemon Legend Z-A’s Lumiose City is a gorgeous town to explore, but it isn’t without its dangers. There are dangerous Rogue Mega Pokemon roaming about in the city, and Team MZ is the only one who can put a stop to this madness.
The game’s “A Rogue Mega Barbaracle” main story mission puts you on the hunt for a Rogue Mega Barbaracle. This is a dangerous creature with plenty of tricks up its sleeve, and beating it is easier said than done. If you’re struggling in this quest, our guide will walk you through it and help you beat the boss.

Pokemon Legends Z-A: A Rogue Mega Barbaracle Mission Guide
Starting Location
You begin your hunt for Rogue Mega Barbaracle by heading to the sewers of Bleu Sector 5 in Bleu District. This area is directly south of the Bleu Plaza, so that’s where you need to fast-travel.
Spawn at the plaza and take the first right. Head straight and you’ll find a pathway leading directly to the sewers. Take the first right you see, and then right again, and you’ll have a straight dash leading to Rogue Mega Barbaracle.

Rogue Mega Barbaracle Boss Fight
Rogue Mega Barbaracle is weak to the following:
- Fighting
- Ground
- Steel
- Water
- Grass
- Psychic
- Fairy
To capitalize on the boss’s weaknesses, we’ll be using the following Pokemon:
- Hawlucha
- Victreebel
Once the fight begins, you have to watch out for the following attacks:
- Rock Slide: Rogue Mega Barbaracle will summon floating rocks that will crash into the ground. You can easily sidestep this.
- Power-up Punch: The Pokemon will jog up to you, swinging its arm for a strong punch. You can easily sidestep this.
- Binacles: The Pokemon will summon minions to fight for him.
- Slash: The Pokemon will charge up and launch a series of anime-like punches at you. You can interrupt this attack when he’s charging.
- Waterfall: Rogue Mega Barbaracle will summon a wave and ride it in a straight line towards you.
Rogue Mega Barbaracle Mission Reward
After defeating Rogue Mega Barbaracle and completing Main Mission 22, you will receive Barbaracite Mega Stone. Barbaracle can evolve into Mega Barbaracle while holding the Barbaracite Mega Stone. Have Barbaracle hold Barbaracite to unlock its Mega Evolution.
