A Use for an Evolution Stone is one of the many side quests you can do in Pokemon Legends Z-A. This side quest involves catching and trading a specific Pokemon. It is also one of the three side missions you can accomplish during The City in the Shadow of Prism Tower, the fifth main quest in the campaign. How To Begin A Use for an Evolution Stone in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Before you can start any of the three side missions in Chapter 5, you must speak to Emma in the Looker Bureau. After speaking to her, this will make all the side missions, including A Use for an Evolution Stone, available to do. Exit the building and make your way to Passage du Palais, where Tracie is waiting.
Tracie will then ask you to catch a Pikachu so she can use the Thunderstone, which is an evolution stone for electric-type Pokemon. We recommend catching one beforehand to speed up the process, but you can always catch one in Wild Zone 3 of Rouge Plaza. Catching Pokemon requires you to battle it and drain its health, so bring plenty of extra Poke Balls. Once you have successfully caught a Pikachu, head back to Tracie.
This side quest will teach you the basics of trading Pokemon with other trainers. You will receive a Heracross in exchange and get a front-row seat to watch the Pikachu you captured evolve into a Raichu. This will end the side quest, and Tracie will give you some neat rewards.
