Learn how to use Eelektross and its Mega in the Pokemon Legends Z-A competitive scene with information about its moveset and nature.

Eelektross is an Electric-type first introduced in Generation V. Its claim to fame was being an Electric-type with the Ability Levitate, making it immune to Ground-type moves, which are that typing’s sole weakness. However, in Legends Z-A, abilities do not exist. It did get a new Mega Evolution to make up for it, though. So let’s see how to use Eelektross to its full potential.
Best Eelektross Moveset in Pokemon Legends Z-A

These are the moves you want to use on your Eelektross, especially if you are looking to Mega Evolve it later.
- Discharge
- Volt Switch
- Super Fang
- Giga Drain/ Electroweb
Eelektross can serve as a mixed attacker who can provide some utility to its allies. While its usually large movepool has been drastically reduced in Legends Z-A, including useful options like Knock Off, Coil, and Drain Punch, it is more than capable as a support. However, its bulk and speed are average at best, so be careful when you switch it in.
Discharge will be its main Electric STAB used for offense, available at Level 29. It is here over Thunderbolt or Wild Charge because of its better paralysis rate as well as its AoE range. Volt Switch helps to re-position yourself in the middle of a fight and acts as a secondary STAB. You get TM066 for Volt Switch from Canari after defeating her in Reaching Rank E.
Super Fang is an amazing utility move that slices your opponent’s Pokemon’s HP in half, with Eelektross learning it at Level 50. As for the fourth move, you can go for Giga Drain for self-healing or Electroweb to slow down opponents without paralyzing them. TM042 for Giga Drain comes from Mable by completing Level 12 of her research requests. As for TM101 for Electroweb, you can get it in Bleu Sector 7.
Buy the Eelektrossite from Quasartico Inc. for 240 Mega Shards.
Best Eelektross Nature in Pokemon Legends Z-A
As this Eelektross is running entirely Special moves and Super Fang, consider going with a Bold (+Def, -Atk) nature. This will strengthen Mega Eelektross’ hit-taking ability at least on the physical side. You can get a Bold Mint from a vendor in Rouge Sector 1.
Eelektross Stats and Location

You can get a Tynamo in Wild Zone 10. After that, you will have to level it up to 39 to have it evolve into Eelektrik. But then you can immediately use a Thunder Stone from the Stone Emporium to evolve it into an Eelektross.
