The Aura Pokemon, Lucario, is one of the most iconic Pokemon of all time, and it is available in Legends Z-A as well. This is a great Pokemon to use, combined with the fact that its Mega Evolution is usable again.
So, this guide will break down the most viable moveset for combat, along with the nature you should use on Lucario.
Best Lucario Moveset in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Ideally, you should use a combination of moves that complement Lucario’s strengths and counter its weaknesses. One such example is:
- Swords Dance
- Brick Break
- Close Combat
- Iron Tail
Swords Dance is just a great buff move, especially for using other Physical attacks with Lucario. It buffs your Attack stat for a while, allowing your Lucario to become monstrously powerful for that duration.
Brick Break is an extremely powerful move, especially in competitive setups. It can break any barrier moves like Light Screen and Reflect. This lets you use your other moves to deal even more damage afterwards.
Close Combat is one of the most powerful Fighting-type moves. With 120 base power, Mega Lucario can easily dispatch almost anyone if this move is super effective. On the downside, your Defense and Special Defense are reduced for a short while afterwards.
Iron Tail is a great move to use in Legends Z-A. It has a short start-up animation and great power, without much chance of missing. Combined with Lucario’s Steel typing and high Attack stat, this move is great to counter any Fairy types you meet.
Some alternative moves you can also consider are Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, and Poison Jab. Thunder Punch counters any Water or Flying types, while Ice Jab is great for dealing with various Dragon or Ground types.
Best Lucario Nature in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Lucario is reliant on its Attack stat for dishing out damage. Its high Speed stat also enables this high damage output by shortening your cooldowns. Therefore, you can easily sacrifice the Special Attack stat in this build. Consider using a Nature Mint to change Lucario’s nature into one of the following:
- Adamant (+Atk/-SpA)
- Jolly (+Spe/SpA)
