A good Metagross build will let you easily dominate most ranked battles with its high Attack and good defensive stats as well. Its Steel/Psychic typing is also great, giving it a whole slew of resistances. This is made even stronger when you give it a lot of coverage with its varying moveset and strong supporting teammates.

You can go with either an Adamant (+Atk, -SpA) or a Jolly (+Spe, -SpA) nature. While Jolly is usually the better choice for the extra speed, there are no Abilities in Legends Z-A.
