Scrafty is a Dark/Fighting-type first introduced in Generation V. While its typing is useful offensively, its stats were geared more towards bulk. With such a poor stat distribution, it saw very little competitive play after a few years after its debut. So let’s see if its new Mega Evolution helps Scrafty reach its full potential.
Best Scrafty Moveset in Pokemon Legends Z-A
These are the moves you want to use on your Scrafty, especially if you are looking to Mega Evolve it later.
- Bulk Up
- Knock Off
- Power-Up Punch
- Parting Shot
With a much better Attack stat and defenses, Mega Scrafty is certainly an improvement over regular Scrafty. However, it still has a double weakness to Fairy and its Attack isn’t that great for a Mega Evolution.
Bulk Up is a great setup move for Scrafty as it improves its Attack and Defense by one stage. Teach it to Scrafty via TM011, which you can gain from the Justice Dojo. Knock Off is the preferred STAB that can remove an item that isn’t a Mega Stone. You can learn it from TM045, which you get from the side mission Full Course of Battles: Three Stars.
As for Fighting STAB, Power-Up Punch is the best option as it can give an Attack boost each time it’s used. Scrafty learns it via level up moveset at level 12. Finally, Parting Shot is a great choice to drop the stats of the opponent’s Pokemon and reposition yourself. This is also a level up move at Level 26.

Best Scrafty Nature in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Scrafty usually goes with a Careful (+SpD, -SpA) nature, which suits Mega Scrafty well. You can get a Mint for this nature from a vendor at Rouge Sector 1.
Scrafty Stats and Location
Scraggy can be found in Bleu District, Jaune District, Magenta District, Rouge District, Vert District, as well as in Lumiouse Sewers. Just level it up to 39 to attain a Scrafty.

- Attack: 90
- Defense: 115
- Special Attack: 45
- Special Defense: 115
- Speed: 58
Mega Scrafty’s stats:
- HP: 65
- Attack: 130
- Defense: 135
- Special Attack: 55
