Sharpedo is a vicious attacker in Pokemon Legends Z-A, and it is made even stronger when you use the best nature and moveset on it.
Although Sharpedo doesn’t have the best defense, its Attack stat more than makes up for it in Legends Z-A. You can make this Pokemon do high damage if you can dodge some attacks successfully.
This moveset and nature for Sharpedo will aim to maximize its damage output.
Best Sharpedo Moveset in Pokemon Legends Z-A
- Liquidation/Waterfall
- Crunch
- Flip Turn
- Earthquake
Sharpedo is predominantly a Physical Attacker. This entire moveset is also purely Physical, since Sharpedo’s Special Attack stat is nothing to brag about. The first move you should consider is either Liquidation or Waterfall. They have similar power, but one move lowers the opponent’s Defense, while the other has a chance for them to flinch.
Crunch is one of the stronger Physical Dark-type moves. Combined with a Same Type Attack Boost (STAB) and high Attack stat, this move can do immense damage.
Flip Turn is another great Water-type move, but not due to its damage-dealing ability. It will let Sharpedo deal decent damage, while also retreating quickly from the thick of battle. This will let you avoid retaliatory damage. Although the move does get STAB, which means that its damage will also not be too bad.
Earthquake is one of the strongest Physical attacks. Being a Ground-type move gives you great coverage as well. You can use it to hit Electric Pokemon, which are a particular weakness for Sharpedo. However, do be careful to time this move properly, as you do not want to get hit while the animation is going on.
Best Sharpedo Nature in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Using a Nature Mint will let you change a Sharpedo’s Nature to whatever one you want. This will be great, as you want a Nature that improves either your Attack or Defense and Special Defense. So, the best Nature for Sharpedo would be:
- Adamant (+Atk/-SpA)
- Careful (+SpD/-SpA)
Ideally, you should go for increased damage with Sharpedo. However, since its defensive stats are quite low, you might also get away with slightly increased Special Defense.
Sharpedo Stats and Location
You can catch an Alpha Sharpedo in the wild in Wild Zone 10. In the same area, you can also find lots of Carvanha to catch. Carvanha will evolve into a Sharpedo starting at level 30.

- Defense: 40
- Special Attack: 95
- Special Defense: 40
- Speed: 95
Its stats after Mega Evolution are:
- HP: 70
- Attack: 140
- Defense: 70
- Special Attack: 110
