This walkthrough will cover the second main mission of Pokemon Legends Z-A, which is Escape from the Battle Zone.
Escape From the Battle Zone is the second main mission in Pokemon Legends Z-A, and this walkthrough will show you how to complete it. This mission introduces you to one of the game’s main mechanics, which is the Battle Zone. It also introduces some of the game’s major characters. As such, it is one of the more important missions in the game.
This walkthrough/mission guide will tell you everything you need to know about Escape From the Battle Zone in Pokemon Legends Z-A, including how to start it, any battles you may face and so on.
How To Start Escape From the Battle Zone in Pokemon Legends Z-A
As stated above, Escape From the Battle Zone is the second main mission in the game. It will start automatically soon after you complete the first mission. While you are talking to Urbain/Taunie, night will fall on the city, activating the numerous Battle Zones around the city.
Taunie will explain that in these Battle Zones, trainers battle each other for the opportunity to rise in ranks. And unfortunately, you have become stuck right in the middle of one. Your goal is to make it out of the Battle Zone safely, hopefully without getting into any fights on the way, hence the name of the mission.
Escape From the Battle Zone Mission Walkthrough in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Follow your rival (Urbain or Taunie) as they show you the way out of the Battle Zone. Unfortunately, there is one trainer who will face you as a guarantee, and that is Brigitte the Waitress.
At this stage, you will only have your starter Pokemon, while Brigitte has two of her own. Fortunately, both her Pokemon are quite weak and should be easy to defeat even for a beginner with only one Pokemon. Especially since you will have levelled up after beating the Pancham in the first mission.
Brigitte’s first Pokemon is a Cleffa, and her second Pokemon is a Bunnelby. The strategy to beat them is very simple. Your Pokemon should have three moves at this point. Simply use them whenever they are off cooldown, and victory will be yours soon enough. Once you have defeated Brigitte, keep following Urbain/Taunie and you will arrive near the exit.
Here, a cutscene will play and a Floette will save you, scaring off the trainers with its powerful attack.
Once you exit the Battle Zone, you must head to Hotel Z, which should be a short way to the right. In case you cannot find it, do not worry, Taunie/Urbain will not let you go the wrong way. Talk to AZ after reaching the hotel to obtain the Key to Room 202. Head over to your room to officially complete Escape From the Battle Zone.
