If you have reached Main Mission 06: Reaching Rank X, you will soon unlock one of the most heartwarming side quests in Pokemon Legends Z-A, Get Well, Fennekin. It focuses on helping a weak Fennekin recover. This little Fire-type fox refuses to eat, and even the Pokemon Center couldn’t help. Your goal is to figure out what’s wrong and bring it back to full health.

Once you have defeated Emma and earned your Rank X, the quest marker will appear automatically in Lumiose City’s Magenta District, near Prism Tower.

How To Start Get Well, Fennekin in Pokemon Legends Z-A

To start, make your way to Magenta Sector 2. The easiest route is by fast traveling to Magenta Plaza, then heading behind the building on the left side of Prism Tower. There, you will meet Branche, the quest giver. You will see her standing next to a lethargic Fennekin lying in the grass.

When you talk to Branche, she explains that Fennekin hasn’t eaten for days and looks sickly. The Pokemon Center couldn’t find anything wrong, and she’s out of options. She mentions hearing about an herbalist who might have a remedy for Pokemon ailments and asks you to seek him out.

The herbalist can be found at Cafe Classe on Vernal Avenue, which sits in the southern section of Lumiose City. The Vernal Pokemon Center is the closest fast travel point, sitting right behind the cafe. If you have unlocked Cafe Woof, that’s another nearby spot you can use.

Steps To Finish Get Well, Fennekin Quest in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Once you reach Cafe Classe, talk to the old herbalist sitting at one of the outdoor tables. He’ll mention that Fennekin’s species naturally chews on Revitalizing Twigs to regain lost energy. He marks a spot on your map where you can find these special twigs.

Before heading there, make sure you have got any Water-type or Psychic-type Pokemon in your team. You will need one to clear toxic sludge blocking the path in the upcoming area.

Next, head to Wild Zone 5, which becomes accessible after completing Main Mission 6. This zone lies southwest of Lumiose Tower, and you will need to enter from the Bleu Sector 2 western entrance.

Once you enter, take a left turn and move along the waterway path behind the benches and streetlight. You will quickly run into purple toxic sludge piles that block your way. Select your Water-type Pokemon using the D-Pad and use a Water-type move like Water Gun to wash away the sludge.

Follow the cleared path until you find a ladder leading down. After descending, you will come across more sludge and another tunnel. Keep clearing your way through until you reach a small clearing.

This area is filled with red glowing markers, showing spots where the Revitalizing Twig could be. However, the area isn’t completely safe; there’s an Alpha Whirlipede (Level 28) patrolling nearby. You can fight it if you feel confident, but ignoring it is usually safer since you can’t be attacked during twig collection cutscenes.

Most of the twigs you find will be damaged, but the correct Revitalizing Twig is usually at the top of the ladder to your right within the clearing. If you don’t find it immediately, check each marker one by one until the right cutscene triggers.

Once you have got the twig, your map updates, and the quest log instructs you to return to Branche in Magenta Sector 2.

Healing Fennekin

Back in the park, hand the twig to Branche. You will feed it to the sick Fennekin, and within moments, it perks up. The bright glow in its eyes returns, and it starts moving again. Branche thanks you for the help, and the newly recovered Fennekin decides to join your team.
