Attacks Used By Rogue Mega Starmie
The Rogue Mega Starmie in Pokemon Legends Z-A is at level 59. We suggest you tackle this fight when you’re around the same level. If you’re at a lower level, this fight could prove tricky. The Mega Starmie will unleash a bunch of Water-based attacks, including Water Jet. In this attack type, the Pokemon will shoot out a stream of water toward you. Quickly get out of the way to avoid getting hit by it. Also, if you get too close to it, the Mega Starmie might hit you with a Zen Headbutt. The best way to avoid this is to stay behind it or to its side. You can also try to maintain distance to protect yourself from this attack.
As the fight progresses, Mega Starmie’s speed and frequency of attacks will increase. Make sure you have plenty of healing items at hand before initiating this battle. These should help you last long enough to take the Pokemon down.

Best Pokemon To Defeat Rogue Mega Starmie in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Rogue Mega Starmie takes 2x damage from the following Pokemon types: Grass, Electric, Bug, Ghost, and Dark. We suggest either Grass or Dark type Pokemon for this fight. The former type can not only deal more damage but also holds up extremely well against the water attacks unleashed by Rogue Mega Starmie. Similarly, Dark types can also act as great counters for Mega Starmie, who’s partially Psychic.
Apart from your own Pokemon, Lida will also come along to help you in this fight. However, her entire party is composed solely of Water type Pokemon. So, she won’t be able to assist you much during the battle.
How To Mega Evolve Your Pokemon
While the fight is underway, you can Mega Evolve your chosen Pokemon to make them more powerful. However, if you’re looking to do that, keep picking up the Mega Power orbs that drop from Mega Starmie after you attack it. You should focus on getting as many of these orbs as you can. As you collect the orbs, you’ll see the Mega Ring meter slowly fill up on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. When the meter is full, you can Mega Evolve your Pokemon. While the Mega Evolve state is active, the Mega Ring meter will deplete continuously. Keep picking up more orbs to continue the state for as long as you can.
After the battle is over and you manage to defeat Mega Starmie, you’ll receive the Starminite. This is a Mega Stone that’ll allow you to Mega Evolve your Starmie during combat.
