Gible, Gabite, and Garchomp in Pokemon Legends Z-A are Dragon/Ground type Pokemon. You can get all three in the game. However, how you go about it for each one differs drastically. Two of them you can catch, while the other one is only attainable through evolution. So, if you’re interested in grabbing these Pokemon, the following guide should be of help.

How To Get Gible, Gabite, and Garchomp in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Gible and Garchomp are both Pokemon that you can catch in the game. You can only get the former by catching it. However, you can either catch or evolve Garchomp. On the other hand, Gabite doesn’t spawn in the game’s world. You’ll have to evolve your Gible to turn it into a Gabite. Now, let’s take a more detailed look at how you can grab each of them.

Getting Gible

After completing Main Mission 9: Chase That Mysterious Pokémon!, you can access Wild Zone 8. That’s where Gible spawns, and it does so both during the daytime and at night. However, it’s a rare Pokemon and you might not get it the first time you head to this area. If that’s the case, simply fast travel back and forth to Wild Zone 8 several times until you spot Gible.

Getting Gabite

Gabite is a Pokemon that you can solely acquire through evolution. So, keep leveling up your Gible until it reaches Level 24. That’s when you can evolve it into the Gabite. Besides this method, there isn’t any other way to acquire Gabite in Pokemon Legends Z-A.

Getting Garchomp

You can get a Garchomp both through evolution and by simply catching it in the world. Here’s a look at both these methods:

Through Evolution

If you can get your Gabite to Level 48, you’ll be able to evolve it into the Garchomp.

Catching It

After you’re through Main Mission 38, you’ll be able to access Wild Zone 20. This is a spawn point for many of the game’s fully evolved Pokemon. The Level 64+ Alpha Pokemon, Garchomp, also has a slight chance of appearing in this area. However, since it’s a rare spawn, you’ll likely need to visit the location several times to finally get it.

You can fast travel back and forth to Wild Zone 20 until Garchomp appears. You can also rest at a bench, advance time, and visit the area again. Both of these activities reset Wild Zone 20, filling it with fresh Pokemon every time.

When the Pokemon spawns for you, don’t immediately rush into battle. Instead, we suggest creating a manual save just before the encounter. If the battle proves too difficult for you the first time around, you can then load this save up and have Garchomp available inside the wild zone again. This method ensures you don’t have to go through the strenuous process of waiting for the Pokemon to spawn each time you attempt to catch it.
