Ever since the launch of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, trainers are out to catch as many Pokémons as they can. The fan-favourite Mareep evolutionary line has made a comeback to the game. This pocket monster is a key electric-type in any trainer’s kit. All of these Pokémons are crucial for completing the Pokédex and making the most of their powerful abilities.

Moreover, Flaaffy and Ampharos can either be evolved from their pre-evolution forms or caught in the world. Here is how to find and evolve every stage of the Mareep line in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Mareep is an electric-type Pokémon that can be caught easily in the early area of the game. You can find the pocket monster throughout the map in the Wild Zone 1 region. Mareep is weak to Ground-type Pokémons, so make sure to have one as a backup.

The next evolutionary stage of Mareep is Flaaffy. It can either be evolved from Mareep at Level 30 or caught in the wild. You can find Flaaffy in two primary locations. The first emerges as Wild Zone 6, where you can encounter it directly. However, after you complete Main Mission 24, Flaaffy also becomes available to catch in Wild Zone 16.

To catch Ampharos, you have to progress to Wild Zone 16 after completing Main Mission 24. A powerful red-eyed Alpha Ampharos will appear at the northern end of this zone for you to take down. Alternatively, you can also evolve a Flaaffy into an Ampharos by raising it to Level 30.
