Pokemon Legends Z-A: How To Get Pikachu

Pikachu has been a staple of the Pokemon franchise for decades, if not the outright face of the brand, and the popular Pokemon now returns in Pokemon Legends Z-A. The exciting and ever-electric Pokemon can be acquired fairly early on, but the game doesn’t really make the whole process clear. 

If you’re trying to unlock Pikachu but don’t know how to, our guide will walk you through the two methods you can use. One method involves directly capturing Pikachu, while the other method is slower and needs Pichu. We shall discuss both in detail below.

How To Find Capture Pikachu in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Finding Pikachu is fairly simple, and you can do so easily by heading over to Wild Zone No. 3 and capture him there. Head over to this park area and press A to enter. The park is split into four quadrants, and you’ll find Pikachu inside any one of the four. 

Once you find Pikachu, you can then launch your Pokeball right at him to try and capture him. If that fails, you have to then fight him and knock him out. Once Pikachu is down for the count, use your Pokeball again to capture Pikachu.

How To Evolve Pichu to Pikachu in Pokemon Legends Z-A

If you’re not one for Pokemon cruelty, you can also get Pikachu by evolving it using Pichu. You’ll find Pichu in Wild Zone 1, and you can then capture the little one with your Pokeball. Keep the Pokemon in your party, and it will evolve into Pikachu with Friendship and Affection. You can raise these stats by simply keeping the little one in your party and using it frequently. 

 How To Evolve Pikachu to Raichu in Pokemon Legends Z-A

If you’re done with Pikachu and wish to take the Pokemon to the next level, you can then use the Thunder Stone to evolve him into Raichu. The Thunder Stone is a special item that aids in evolution. You can find this item in the Stone Emporium of Lumiose City. This store is directly west of Vert Sector-9. 

Head to the Stone Emporium and you’ll find a board near the shop door. Interact with this door to see the list of items you can purchase. Scroll through the inventory and purchase a Thunder Stone for 3,000 Poke dollars.
