Its abilities can range from Fly to Steel Wing. Skarmory is a strong defensive Pokemon that has no evolutions. Here’s how you can find and catch Skarmory in Pokemon Legends Z-A.
How To Catch Skarmory
Skarmory can be caught only after reaching Wild Zone 17 near the Vert Sector 3 region. To reach this zone, you’ll have to reach the Reaching Rank C Mission. Skarmory in the wild has one of the lowest catch rates in the game. However, with a few Electric moves and tricks that are mentioned below, you’ll be able to get your first Skarmory in less time.
Here are some pointers that will help you catch Skarmory in Pokemon Legends Z-A faster:
- Skarmory roams around a wild Mawile and an Alpha Pyroar pride. Aggroing Mawile will most likely also catch the attention of the Pyroar pride, and you might be in trouble with the Earth Power spam. This move hits at all elevation, so flying is also out of the question. Instead, you can climb on the platform and hit the Skarmory with a Quick Ball or an Ultra. Even failing this will move the Skarmory in a much safer position.

- Skarmory is weak to Fire and Electric-type moves. Using Thunderbolt and moves that will inflict the Paralyze status will help increase the catch rate.
- If you KO Skarmory by mistake, you can clear the area and load again. The gauntlet will not spawn, but Skarmory will.
Best Nature for Skarmory
Skarmory is a high Defense Stat Pokemon. So, Impish and Careful are best recommended as both of them increase the Pokemon already strong defense. Impish increases Defense but lowers Sp. Atk, while Careful, increases Sp. Def and decreases Sp. Atk.
