Pokemon Legends Z-A has some easter eggs which has led people to believe that Volo might be in the game. This article will address that.
Pokemon Legends Z-A is the second in the Legends series of the Pokemon games. The original title in this series was Legends Arceus. Therefore, it isn’t too far of a stretch to expect some easter eggs from the previous game in Z-A.
You will not be disappointed if that is the case, since the Lumiose Museum holds many easter eggs and references to the first title. This also includes a subtle nod at the final antagonist of the original game, that being Volo. However, some NPC dialogue has led people to come up with theories pertaining to his current status.
Although Volo himself isn’t present in the game, there are many subtle nods and references made towards him, and Legends Arceus as a whole.
Is Volo in Pokemon Legends Z-A?
No, Volo is not present in Legends Z-A. However, the outfit he wore at the end of the game is seen in-game. This is the same outfit that he wore in his duel against the protagonist, with Giratina at his side.
Firstly, you must visit the Lumiose Museum at the top of the map (as seen in the image). Here, take the stairs on the right side to the second floor. This is the Hisui exhibition, where you will find various art pieces and references to Jubilife Village and the events of Legends Arceus. This is the place where you will find the outfit he wore for the duel.
You can also find some more information regarding his status after the events of Legends Arceus. This is done by talking with the NPC present right next to the outfit.
He will inform you about how the person who wore the outfit donated it to the museum personally. Moreover, he supposedly gazed at Professor Laventon’s artwork with a nostalgic gaze as well. This tells us all we need to know regarding Volo’s status after the game.
Through whatever methods, Volo survived until later on and then came to the Lumiose Museum to donate his outfit to the collection. His motives for doing so remain unclear presently.
Will Volo Appear in the Future Pokemon Games?
At the moment, we cannot be certain whether Volo will appear in the future or not. Of course, fans would most likely want to see the final boss one more time, or perhaps have easter eggs and mentions in the future as well.
Either way, that was all we knew about Volo’s appearance in Pokemon Legends Z-A for now. Of course, that might not be the end of his appearance, as we do not know the plot line of the upcoming Mega Dimensions DLC as well.
