This Pokemon Legends Z-A walkthrough will take you through the Klefki’s Lost Key side quest, one of the harder quests in the game.
Lumiose City in Pokemon Legends Z-A is a busy place, and it is incredibly easy to lose track of things in all the chaos. This is certainly true for Cadena, who, in the Klefki’s Lost Key quest, has now lost her Klefki’s key. The city is vast, and she doesn’t really know where she could’ve dropped it. It is now your job to retrace her steps and find the key.
The task isn’t easy, especially since Lumiose City is a massive map. Finding her key requires you to use the clues she gives you and then find a location that matches her clues. This is fairly difficult, but our guide is here to walk you through it.

How To Complete Klefki’s Lost Key in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Starting Location
You begin this quest by talking to Cadena near Hotel Richissime after completing Main Mission 35. Head over to Hotel Richissime and then walk southwest towards Hibernal Avenue. You’ll find Cadena here. She’ll tell you about Klefki’s lost key and wants your help finding it. She will then tell you about her day, and you have to retrace her steps to see where the key could’ve fallen.

Finding Klefki’s Lost Key
Cadena mentions that the key could be an area that’s near:
- A hair salon.
- A cafe.
- A Battle Court.
The only location that matches this criterion is near Cafe Classe, near Vert Sector 9. Fast-travel to this area and walk south along the main road. Head to the Battle Court to your left, and you’ll spot a glowing red hue coming from her. Enter the court and press A to investigate the glowing red item. This is the key you’ve been looking for.
As soon as you interact with the key, Cadena will show up in the Battle Court. She’ll then state that she remembered where the key was, and is now here to collect. Hand her the key to complete the Klefki’s Lost Key quest and earn the following rewards:

- 1x Nugget
