How To Complete Prism Tower’s Dark Turn in Pokemon Legends Z-A
The story starts with you meeting up with your team inside Hotel Z. The cutscene will take you to the rooftop along with AZ, where the squad discusses Ange going rogue as the Prism Tower glows in the background. With that in mind, you decide to visit the glowing tower.
Keep in mind that once the mission starts, you can only fast travel to the Prism Tower. Make preparations in advance and complete any side missions you want to complete before starting this mission.
Battle With Your Rival

Upon reaching Prism Tower, the topic suddenly shifts to your rival challenging you to a Pokemon battle. This is because only one Trainer will follow Floette to climb up and subdue the tower. This duel will decide who is truly the strongest trainer. Depending on which starter Pokemon you choose, your rival’s lineup will vary. Your rival will use the final evolution of the starter Pokémon you didn’t choose. It’s the one that’s strong against your own starter, and it will have access to its Mega Evolution.
Here is a quick rundown on the teams you can expect based on your starter Pokemon:

Defeat Rogue Mega Pokemon On The Loose

After the battle, find Vinnie and you’ll be greeted with a cutscene. Afterward, your rival will talk about encountering a Rogue Mega Gengar and Mega Heracross. You will have to battle the two hostile critters. Fortunately, you are not alone in this battle. Lida and Naveen will lend a hand in this fight.
To have a smoother battle, explore the weaknesses of your opponent. Mega Gengar is weak to Ground-, Psychic-, Ghost-, and Dark-type. Meanwhile, Heracross is 4x weak against Flying-type. Both Pokemon share a weakness against Psychic-types, too.
After the battle, Lida will provide healing to your injured Pokemon. You will then proceed to the next mission, which is Operation Protect Lumiose in Pokemon Legends Z-A.
