In this guide, learn how to reach Rank E in Pokemon Legends Z-A, which is the fourteenth main mission of the game.
After getting a special promotion to Rank F from V and defeating the three Rogue Mega Evolutions, your next mission in Pokemon Legends Z-A is to reach Rank E. Luckily this is straightforward as all you have to do is defeat the famous streamer Canari. Except finding her and getting to her will be tricky. So in this guide, we will tell you how to beat Canari and reach Rank E in Pokemon Legends Z-A.
How To Reach Rank E in Pokemon Legends Z-A?
The Promotion Match for Rank E needs you to battle the enigmatic streamer Canari. However, finding her would be quite difficult as she streams from an unknown location. Luckily for you, Naveen is a fan of Canari and is willing to share what he knows, if you beat him in a Pokemon battle.
Battle Naveen For Intel on Canari
Naveen’s team for this fight includes the following Pokemon:
- Ariados
- Sableye
- Scraggy
His team hasn’t changed much from the last time you fought him, except for his Spinarak which has evolved into an Ariados. You should have some powerful Fairy or Flying types like Sylveon, Talonflame, Gardevoir, and Pidgeot to make short work of his team.
Once he has been defeated, he informs you of the Canari Quiz Whiz Contest. If you win the contest, you can ask Canari for a favor, including a promotion match. Naveen agrees to help you with the quiz. Collect 32,000 points for the Challenger Ticket by participating in the Z-A Royale. Then come back and talk to him.
Participate in the Canari Quiz Whiz Contest
Meet Naveen at the location. He’ll tell you the password “Lets Go DYN4MO” to enter and gives you an earpiece to help you with the quiz. Check out our guide to all the answers for the quiz.
Once you complete the quiz, Canari asks you to go to the Racine Construction for your promotion match. It’s the construction company owned by her grandfather Tarragon whom you have met before.
Go To Racine Construction
On reaching Racine Construction, you meet Tarragon inside the building. He challenges you to a battle so that you can learn how he was watching you win the quiz.
Tarragon’s team consists of the following Pokemon:
- Hippowdon
- Diggersby
- Excadrill
The last one is notable as it’s the debut of Mega Excadrill. Still, his team consists of Ground-types that all share a weakness to Water-types. A powerful one like Gyarados should be able to make short work of his team, especially if you Mega Evolve.
After defeating Tarragon, he explains the reason why he knew you were at the Canari Quiz Whiz Contest. This is because he was the one projecting himself with a hologram of his granddaughter Canari. He explains that he did so because Canari’s focus was on gaming and not fan interactions so he took it upon himself to show the world how great she is.
After this, you are finally able to challenge Canari.
Defeat Canari
Canari’s team consists of the following Pokemon:
- Heliolisk
- Ampharos
- Stunfisk
- Eelektross
She also debuts a new Mega Evolution, Mega Eelektross. Her team consists of all Electric-types, which can be exploited by a powerful Ground-type. Especially since Eelektross does not have its usual ability, Levitate, to avoid Ground-type attacks in Pokemon Legends Z-A. Some of the best Ground-types for you to use include Diggersby, Steelix, Gabite, Camerupt, and Hippowdon.
Once you have defeated her, you reach Rank E in Pokemon Legends Z-A.
Canari is initially very upset but she cools down when her grandfather offers to buy her anything she wants. After calming down, she apologizes for blowing a fuse, explaining that she usually has her chat to support her when she loses on stream. She gives up the TM for Volt Switch and an autographed plush to give to “the fan who has been helping you out“, having picked up that someone was helping you.
Later on back in Hotel MZ, give the plush to Naveen, who is delighted in his own manner.
