In Pokemon Legends Z-A, you will come across Croquis, an artist trying to finish a painting for a contest. Unfortunately, the scene she wants to capture is blocked by thick brambles near a fountain in Jaune Sector 7. That is where you step in. This task, called Stumped at the Fountain, is Side Mission 13 in Pokemon Legends Z-A. It involves a simple puzzle that tests your awareness of type-based interactions rather than battle strength.
How To Start Stumped at the Fountain Walkthrough in Pokemon Legends Z-A
You can begin this side mission only after completing Main Mission 07: Reaching Rank W. This milestone gives you access to explore more sections of Lumiose City. Once that is done, you can spot several side missions scattered around, and Croquis’ request becomes available among them.
To find her, travel to Jaune Sector 7 in the Jaune District. She is standing close to the fountain. If you already unlocked the Hibernal Pokemon Center, that should be your nearest fast travel point. From there, it is a short walk.
Before talking to her, make sure your team includes at least one Pokemon that knows a Fire-type move. Without it, you will not be able to progress.
Steps To Finish Stumped at the Fountain Walkthrough in Pokemon Legends Z-A
To get through the Stumped at the Fountain quest, head over to Jaune Sector 7 and find Croquis near the fountain. When you talk to her, she will mention how the brambles are ruining her perfect view for the painting contest. Once you accept her request, it is time to get your Fire-type Pokemon out. Use a move like Ember or Flame Wheel to burn away the first set of brambles blocking the fountain.
After that, talk to Croquis again, she will thank you, but then notice more thorns sprouting up nearby. You have to repeat the same process a couple more times. Each time new brambles appear, use your Fire-type moves to clear them out.

When you help Croquis finish her work, she offers 1,000 Poke Dollars and three Nest Balls as a token of appreciation.
