Here’s a walkthrough for “The Future of Lumiose City,” a main mission in Pokemon Legends Z-A, along with outlining the best wish to choose.
Mission 38, titled The Future of Lumiose City, follows the events after your encounter with the Ange Floette and reaching Rank A. This mission progresses into you making your wish. You have three choices, and you can only choose one. It’s a brief mission that does not affect the course of the story in any way. Nonetheless, it’s a small yet meaningful piece of world-building.

How To Complete The Future of Lumiose City in Pokemon Legends Z-A
The mission starts after you head back to Hotel Z after saving Lumiose City from the threat of the Agne Floette. In your room, you can find a Poke Ball that contains a Lucario. Pick it up while you’re exploring. Once you are ready to leave, head down to the lobby.
Head to Wild Zone 20
In the hotel lobby, you and your team discuss the future of Lumiose City. Additionally, the topic of that one wish you would make after reaching Rank A gets discussed. Naveen explains the following:
“Anyone who attains the highest rank, Rank A, will earn the right to call themselves one of Lumiose’s strongest Trainers and be granted a wish, as long as it is in our power to fulfill.”
After the cutscene, the squad decides to check on the reception desk. The team then reads AZ’s last will. Afterwards, Vinnie will call, notifying you and your team that you are granted one wish for reaching Rank A. You will now need to travel to the target location. Use fast travel to reach Wild Zone 20 or the Centrico Plaza quickly. You will meet up with Vinnie and Jett at the entrance of the area.
Best Wish To Make in The Future of Lumiose City Mission
When asked about your wish, there are three options:
- Option 1: I want us all to battle Pokemon together!
- Option 2: I want us to live in harmony with Pokemon!
- Option 3: I want more Pokemon to live in Lumiose!
If you are wondering which options are the best, none of these wishes affect the story in any way. This means you can pick whichever you want. You get unique dialogues by choosing either the second or third option. However, if you try to avoid the first option, it will simply loop back. This means the first option is the one you need to pick if you wish to proceed with the story. Afterwards, you can then proceed to the next mission which is The Infinite Z-A Royale in Pokemon Legends Z-A.
