How To Complete The Secrets of Mega Evolution
To learn more about the phenomenon of Mega Evolution, as well as why wild Pokemon are suddenly Mega Evolving by themselves, head over to Quasartico Inc. When you arrive there, you are greeted by a pair of Pokemon guarding the building, Dedenne. Take them on in a double battle alongside your rival Urbain/Taunie. Once you defeat them, Vinnie arrives and asks you to meet him at the battle court next to the building.
Pokemon Legends Z-A: Defeat Vinnie To Receive a Special Promotion (The Secrets of Mega Evolution)
Vinnie tells us that AZ came to Quasartico Inc. about the Rogue Mega Evolutions. Quasartico has been trying to keep the situation under control, but it has become too much for them to handle by themselves. So they have started enlisting trainers who have reached high ranks on the Z-A Royale.
He is impressed by our performances and decides to offer us a chance at a special promotion to Rank F if we can defeat him in battle.
Vinnie has a mostly powerful team (and a Buneary):
- Houndoom
- Sharpedo
- Buneary
- Drampa
His team is entirely weak to Fighting-types (and once again, he has a Buneary). But Vinnie has one trick up his sleeve: a new Mega Evolution!
Use a Fighting-type like Heracross or Pignite to deal with his team. If you have trouble with Mega Drampa, consider using your new Mega Absol to fight it on more even footing. After defeating Vinnie, which he blames his new Buneary for, you are promoted straight to Rank F.
Pokemon Legends Z-A: Deal With Multiple Rogue Mega Evolutions (The Secrets of Mega Evolution)
Unlike previous missions where ranking up would complete the mission, “The Secret of Mega Evolution” in Pokemon Legends Z-A continues. After a brief rest at Noveau Cafe, return to Hotel Z to start planning for multiple Rogue Mega Evolutions that have started popping up. Each of these is classified as a Main Mission.
- Main Mission 11: A Rogue Mega Slowbro with help from Urbain/Taunie
- Main Mission 12: A Rogue Mega Camerupt with help from Lida
- Main Mission 13: A Rogue Mega Victreebel with help from Naveen
Before you leave, AZ hands you a Mega Stone for your starter.
Pokemon Legends Z-A: Battle Zygarde and Meet L (The Secrets of Mega Evolution)
Once you have dealt with the Rogue Mega Evolutions and return to Hotel Z, you’ll see Zygarde waiting for you. It wants to battle, so oblige it. Defeat the Ground/Dragon with Ice moves, like Ice Fang from Gyarados, who is one of the best choices for your early team. It hands you a pebble after the battle, which may be useful later.
After the battle you are greeted by a mysterious stranger calling himself L (potentially a returning character). He mentions that Zygarde appears to have chosen you, and now it’s up to the player to become worthy of it.
Once you enter Hotel Z, the tenth mission of Pokemon Legends Z-A, The Secrets of Mega Evolution, finally ends.
