Learn how to complete Vanillite’s Fragrant Snow side quest in Pokemon Legends Z-A, including steps, locations, Odette’s role, and rewards.
You meet Odette again in Vanillite’s Fragrant Snow side quest in Pokemon Legends Z-A. She is the perfume maker you might remember from Skiddo’s Fragrant Leaves. This time, she wants to create a perfume using snow from a Vanillite. The idea sounds unusual, but Odette believes the frozen texture and scent of Vanillite’s snow can inspire a perfume that captures the peaceful winter mood.
This mission is listed as Side Quest 44 in Pokemon Legends Z-A. To unlock it, you must finish two prerequisites: complete Main Mission 19 called Reaching Rank D and Side Mission 10, Skiddo’s Fragrant Leaves, where Odette asks for a Skiddo.
Once both requirements are met, head to Vernal Avenue in the Vert District. Fast travel to the Vernal Pokemon Center and walk south. You will see Odette near the boutique shops in the Promenade du Vent area, standing right outside Boutique Couture.
Talk to her, and she will explain that she wants to use snow from Vanillite to create a cold, refreshing perfume. She asks you to bring her a Vanillite. If you already have one, keep it in your active party. If not, you will need to catch one before returning to her.
How To Finish Vanillite’s Fragrant Snow Quest in Pokemon Legends Z-A
You can find Vanillite in two areas. The first is Wild Zone 7, which becomes available after you complete Main Mission 9 called Chase That Mysterious Pokemon. It often appears near ice cream trucks in the central courtyard of this zone. You can visit any time of the day since Vanillite spawns both day and night.
The second place is Wild Zone 12, located in Aymlis Park in the Bleu District. This area unlocks after finishing Main Mission 14. Vanillite can be found near ice cream trucks here too. Since it is an Ice-type, you can weaken it with Fire or Rock-type moves if needed.
After catching it, open your Pokemon menu. Move Vanillite from your storage box into your active team. Make sure it is one of your six Pokemon before meeting Odette again.
Fast travel to the Vernal Pokemon Center and walk south to where Odette is waiting. Speak to her while Vanillite is in your party. She will take a small amount of snow from your Vanillite for her experiment.
Vanillite’s Fragrant Snow Quest Rewards in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Once Odette finishes her work, she rewards you with 2,500 Poke Dollars, one Leaf Stone, and three Quiet Mints. The Leaf Stone helps evolve certain Grass-type Pokemon like Weepinbell into Victreebel, Pansage into Simisage, and Eevee into Leafeon. The same stone can also be bought from the Stone Emporium for 3,000 Poke Dollars if you need another later.
The Quiet Mints are useful for improving a Pokemon’s nature. They increase Special Attack while reducing Speed. Each Quiet Mint usually costs 20,000 Poke Dollars if you buy it from Rouge Sector 1, so getting three of them for free is a nice bonus.
