Learn how to complete Watch Out For Traps in Pokemon Legends Z-A, defeat Pie’s trap-based team, and earn valuable rewards.
In Pokemon Legends Z-A, Watch Out For Traps is Side Mission 41. You get it from a police officer named Pie who loves using trap-based moves. To take this side mission, you first need to complete Main Mission 15 called A Job for Team MZ. Once that is done, Main Missions 16 to 18 will open up, and that is when this quest becomes available.
You can find Pie at the battle court next to Wild Zone 1 in Vert Sector 9 of Vert District in Lumiose City. The easiest way to reach her is by fast traveling to the Vert Pokemon Center and walking towards Wild Zone 1. When you talk to Pie, she will challenge you to a battle that begins the mission.
Her team has three Pokemon around levels 36 to 37. You will face Onix, Camerupt, and Garbodor. Each of them uses moves that can leave traps on the field. That means you need to keep moving during the fight instead of staying in one spot.
How To Complete Watch Out for Traps in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Pie’s team focuses on creating hazards that deal damage when your Pokemon touch them. If you stand in one place for too long, you will take unnecessary damage from the lingering effects on the ground. Try to reposition your Pokemon often and avoid those danger zones.
Pie’s team has some common weaknesses. All her Pokemon can be hit hard by Ground-type moves. Onix is weak to Water, Grass, Ice, Fighting, Ground, and Steel. Camerupt takes major damage from Water and Ground. Garbodor falls easily to Ground and Psychic attacks.
Using a Ground-type attacker is the best approach. A Pokemon like Camerupt with Earth Power is perfect. Earth Power lets you attack from a distance and deal damage without stepping into traps. You can also bring Water or Psychic-types as backup, just in case you need to switch.

After you win the battle, you will receive:
