“Catching ‘em all” is only half the job in Pokemon Legends Z-A, because once you have the Pokemon you need, you then have to nurture them and level them up. Leveling up your Pokemon is an important component of the gameplay loop and helps make your Pokemon stronger.
But how far can you level them up? What is the maximum level that you can take your Pokemon up to? These are questions you may find yourself asking when leveling up a Pokemon in the game. Thankfully, we have the answer, and we shall discuss it in detail below.

What Is the Maximum Level in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Your Pokemon’s max level is capped to Level 100 in Pokemon Legends Z-A. This means that you’ll only be able to level up a Pokemon to said level and no further. Every time you level up your Pokemon, you increase their stats. Their HP rises, and so does the overall damage they deal. You also unlock new abilities as you level up. After level 100, however, you don’t get any of these benefits.

How To Level Up Fast in Pokemon Legends Z-A
While a Level 100 cap may seem disappointing to some, you’ll have to grind for hours before you even hit that. Still, if you’re a completionist looking to hit the level cap or simply wish to level up fast to unlock new abilities, there are a few ways to level up fast:
- Use XP boosters. Items such as the Canari Plushes boost your XP. Make sure you equip these to gain extra XP in battles, which will then help level up faster.
- Catch Wild Pokemon to level up fast. You’ll find tons of these out in the wild. Defeating them grants XP, but you can earn far more if you try to catch them. You can chase the Alpha Pokemon if you want tons of XP.
- Grind out the Z-A Royale to level up fast. These may be a bit difficult if you’re just starting out, but stick with it, and you’ll level up your Pokemon in no time.
