Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: How To Get Shiny Wo-Chien for Free

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players can now get a Shiny Wo-Chien for free via Mystery Gift. After the Pokemon Presents on June 22, 2025, a new Tera Raid event kicked off, letting players battle and defeat the Shiny versions of Treasures of Ruin. However, in order to receive them, they had to be defeated over 1 million times. The first of these was Wo-Chien, whose Tera Raid Event started on July 22, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PDT and ended on August 3, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.

As per The Pokemon Company, Shiny Wo-Chien with Grass Terastallization has been defeated 6,078,885 times. Now players can log in to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and claim their own Shiny Wo-Chien as a Mystery Gift.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: How To Claim Shiny Wo-Chien Mystery Gift

Here’s how to claim a Mystery Gift in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet:

• Launch your version of the game (either Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet)
• Go to the X menu and select Poke Portal
• From there, select Mystery Gift and then Get via Internet
• Choose your Mystery Gift (in this case, Shiny Wo-Chien)
• After your Mystery Gift arrives, save the game

Additionally, players will receive more rewards besides a Shiny version of this Treasure of Ruin. For every collective 100,000 player victories exceeding one million, you can get a set of 40 Tera Shards. Each set contains 10 Grass Tera Shards, 10 Bug Tera Shards, 10 Poison Tera Shards, and 10 Fairy Tera Shards. The total number of sets a single player can receive is at most 10.

Players can claim their Shiny Wo-Chien starting on August 7, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PDT, up to September 30, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. Also, the next Treasure of Ruin to get a Shiny Tera Raid is Chien-Pao with Ice Terastallization. This event is currently ongoing, having started on August 3, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PDT.
