Here are five Pokemon TCG decks in the current meta that players are likely to use to make the top cut at Pokemon NAIC 2025

Pokemon NAIC 2025 is coming up shortly, and TCG players are getting ready to bring their A-game to the tournament. So expect them to bring the best card combinations currently available in the Standard format. In this article, we will look at the best Pokemon TCG decks that should be making the Top-Cut at NAIC 2025.
5 Pokemon TCG Decks That Should Make Top-Cut at Pokemon NAIC 2025
These decks are the most used currently in the Pokemon Trading Card Game meta:
- Dragapult ex
- Gardevoir ex
- Raging Bolt ex
- Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex
- Joltik Toolbox
5) Joltik Toolbox

While these decks are known for their heavy Lightning-type hitters like Iron Hands ex, Miraidon ex, and Pikachu ex, Joltik is so crucial to the functioning of these decks that they are named after the little Lightning bug (or spider, to be accurate).
Joltik’s ability to accelerate four Energy with its attack, Jolting Charge, lets the aforementioned powerful Lightning types run rampant faster than they usually would be able to. Joltik itself can evolve to Galvantula and deal with Dark-types, as well as Mimikyu, which is an unstoppable wall for the Pokemon ex that is usually a part of this deck.
4) Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex

Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex has already proven to be the best archetype of the Destined Rivals expansion, so it is expected to show up quite a bit at Pokemon NAIC 2025. Grimmsnarl is the core of this deck, both attaching Energy at an accelerated rate as well as serving as the main attacker.
Thanks to its ability Punk UP, it can attach 5 Basic Darkness Energy to any Marnie’s Pokemon it likes. This also includes itself as it can use its move Shadow Bullet to deal 180 damage to the opponent’s Active Pokemon.
3) Raging Bolt ex

Raging Bolt ex continues to thrive even after the Destined Rivals expansion. With the help of Fan Rotom and Professor Sada’s Vitality, Raging Bolt ex can set up very quickly and attack.
Past decks relied a lot more on baby Raging Bolt to start off as an early attacker, but this has become less viable thanks to the introduction of Shaymin in Destined Rivals. So it is better to utilize Raging Bolt ex as your main attacker to take on opposing Pokemon ex instead of trying for bench sniping.
2) Gardevoir ex

Despite its presence in the meta for over two years, Gardevoir ex should never be written off. Experienced players know what this card is capable of with the right support, while unprepared players should be ready to face a rude awakening.
It is accompanied by its usual allies in Munkidori, Drifloon, and Scream Tail, all of whom work together to deal chip damage to the opponent’s cards before putting them in KO range. Make sure to carry Rare Candy and Bravery Charm, as these are staples of this deck.
1) Dragapult ex

Dragapult ex may also be struggling a bit in recent times by itself, but its solution to that has been simple – team up with other Pokemon ex. Gholdengo ex has been an excellent partner for its ability to draw cards and deal high damage. Charizard ex has been another great late-game cleaner alongside Dragapult ex. Of course, the presence of these partners does not diminish Dragapult ex in any way, as it is still able to take multiple Prizes in a single move.
