With the Mega Brave/Mega Symphonia expansion of the Pokemon TCG released in Japan, see which Trainer cards from the set are doing well.

The Mega Brave/Mega Symphonia expansion of the Pokemon TCG is bringing back Mega Evolutions. As always, there are multiple Trainer cards in this set, including Supporters, Items, and Stadiums. Some of them are finding their way into every deck, while others seem to provide more specialized help to certain decks. Let’s take a look at some of the Trainer cards from the first Mega expansion of the TCG that have made a splash in Japan’s City Leagues.
5 Pokemon TCG Trainer Cards From Mega Brave/Mega Symphonia That Have a Lot of Potential
These Pokemon TCG Trainer cards from Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia have seen high usage in Japan’s City Leagues:
- Lillie’s Determination
- Premium Power Pro
- Fight Gong
- Mystery Garden
- Forest of Vitality
1) Lillie’s Determination

Lillie’s Determination is a Supporter card from the Mega Brave expansion. It lets you shuffle your hand into your deck and draw six new cards. However, if you have all six Prizes remaining, you can draw eight instead. This utility makes the card a powerful early-game Supporter, and as such, it has already made its way into many decks in Japan.
2) Premium Power Pro

Premium Power Pro is an Item card from Mega Brave that gives Fighting-type attacks 30 more damage when attacking the opponent’s Active Pokemon. This card was clearly made to synergize with Mega Lucario ex decks, but can also be seen in decks like Cynthia’s Garchomp ex as well.
3) Fight Gong

This is another Item card from Mega Brave meant to work alongside Fighting-type decks. Fight Gong helps you search for a Basic Fighting-type Pokemon card or a Basic Fighting Energy. Considering the new Solrock and Lunatone are seeing a decent amount of use in current Fighting-type decks, Fight Gong seems tailor-made to synergize with them.
Both of those cards are Basic Pokemon and can be located through Fight Gong. Additionally, a Basic Fighting Energy drawn from Fight Gong can be discarded with Lunatone’s ability to draw more cards. With enough of those Fighting Energy in the discard pile, Mega Lucario ex can use its move Aura Jab to attach them to other Fighting-types.
4) Mystery Garden

Mystery Garden is a Stadium card from Mega Symphonia. When in play, players can draw as many cards as they already have in their hand. The requirements for this are discarding one Energy from their hand and having a Psychic Pokemon in play. This makes it a very good choice for Gardevoir ex decks.
While Gardevoir ex is currently the World Champion, it is not slowing down any time soon. It already has a new ally in Mega Diancie ex, but Mystery Garden takes it a step further. Gardevoir ex’s ability Psychic Embrace lets it attach Psychic Energy from the discard pile, which Mystery Garden will further accelerate.
5) Forest of Vitality

Forest of Vitality is a Stadium card from Mega Symphonia. When in play, you can evolve your Grass-types immediately on the turn they are put into play. This makes the card almost a necessity for decks planning on using Mega Venusaur ex.
