Learn the best way to use a Kyurem Deck in the current Pokemon TCG meta and which cards work well in this archetype.
Kyurem from Shrouded Fables is a bit of an inconsistent card. Its move Trifrost depends on whether the opponent has Colress’s Tenacity in their discard pile to lower its steep Energy cost. As Colress’s Tenacity is an infrequent selection in most decks, it isn’t possible to reliably build a deck around just Kyurem.
However, the Slowking from Stellar Crown can use Kyurem’s Trifrost through its move Seek Inspiration as long as certain conditions are met. This combination has seen a decent amount of success worldwide, so it is clearly more than a gimmick.

The plan is to use cards like Ciphermaniac’s Codebreaking and Academy at Night to place Kyurem on the top of your deck. Slowking will then use Seek Inspiration to copy Kyurem’s Trifrost and attack the opponent. This will lead to Kyurem being discarded but cards like Night Stretcher, Max Rod, or Lana’s Aid will let you bring Kyurem back into your hand. You can then use Academy at Night to repeat the process.
