- Set up Pidgeot ex on the Bench and use its ability Quick Search to find the right card you need. If that card has been Prized, use Redeemable Ticket to get your hand on it.
- Iron Thorns ex and Ting-Lu ex block a significant number of meta attackers from the opposition.
- Eri, Xerosic’s Machinations, Chi-Yu ex, and Ruffian force your opponent to discard cards in different ways.
- Accompanying Flute and Erika’s Invitation will force your opponent to put POkemon into play that they may not have wanted.
- Calamitous Wasteland and Gravity Gemstone make it harder for your opponent’s Active Pokemon to Retreat.
