At NAIC 2025, Gardevoir ex decks were used by both finalists of the Pokemon TCG Master’s Division and were a dominant presence.

Gardevoir ex was a very common sight in NAIC 2025, with even the final between Isaiah Bradner and Riley McKay being a mirror match featuring this Generation III Pokemon. However, while fairly common, this deck wasn’t the most used overall. Decks focused on Dragapult ex, Raging Bolt ex, and even the new Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex seemingly saw more usage. Contrastingly though, out of all of these decks, it was Gardevoir ex who saw the highest win percentage of close to 50%.
So, keeping that high win rate in mind, let’s see if the results in NAIC 2025 confirm if Gardevoir ex decks are the best to use in the current Pokemon TCG meta.
Gardevoir Ex Decks Had the Highest Win Percentage of Any Deck Above 1% Usage
According to Limitless TCG, even though Gardevoir ex only saw 12.43% usage among the 3812 NAIC players, its win rate was 49.49%. The decks with higher usage than it all had lower usage rates than Gardevoir ex:
- Dragapult ex decks had a 16.19% usage rate but a win rate of 48.21%
- Raging Bolt ex decks had a 16.09% usage rate but a win rate of 48.34%
- Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex decks had a 12.43% usage rate but a win rate of 48.84%
The only decks with higher win rates than Gardevoir ex were the following:
- An Ogerpon Box deck with a 76.92% win rate brought by one player
- A Banette ex deck with a 59.26% win rate also brought by one player
- Milotic ex decks with a 51.90% win rate brought by eight players
- Rocket Spidops decks with a 50.97% win rate brought by twenty players
So considering that Gardevoir ex was used by 405 players and had a win rate higher than most standard decks, it tips it towards being one of the best decks right now.
Gardevoir Ex Decks Made a Decent Portion of Top Cut Players

Out of the players that made Top Cut, Dragapult ex decks were the most common, with 6 out of 15 decks featuring the card. However, on moving to the Top 8, that number drops to only 2. Meanwhile, only 3 Gardevoir ex decks made Top Cut, but all of them made the Top 8. Additionally, all three of them were in the Top 4, with the fourth being a Dragapult ex player.
The reason behind this can be attributed to a single card – Lillie’s Clefairy ex. This card gives all Dragon-types (the typing of Dragapult ex and Raging Bolt ex in the TCG) a weakness to Psychic-types (the typing of Gardevoir ex). As such, Dragapult ex decks have often incorporated other cards like Darkness Tera Charizard ex to make up for their new weakness to Psychic, but have clearly fallen short. Contrastingly, only a single Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex and a single N’s Zoroark ex made it to Top Cut, despite their advantage over Gardevoir. As a matter of fact, both were eliminated while facing a Gardevoir ex.
So, judging from the results of NAIC 2025, its clear that the Gardevoir ex archetype is the one to beat.
