According to the developer, the trading feature will let the players trade same-rarity cards with the help of some special items. While trading cards look very cool, there are some restrictions to balance out the overall experience of the game. Here’s what the developer has said so far about how the mechanic will work.
- Trading will be limited to friends only.
- Players can only trade the same rarity cards.
- For now, players can trade Diamond 1-4 and Gold Star 1 rarity cards. This restriction is put in place to balance out the game.
- The items needed for trading are specific, which are trade hourglasses and trade tokens. Be sure to collect these items for future trades.
- Players can trade Genetic Apex and Mythical Island booster packs for now. Upcoming updates will add more packs for trading.
How Trading May Possibly Work
Trading means exchanging one Pokemon card with another. To trade in Pokemon TCG Pocket, you have to do the following steps:
- Locate the trade feature in the game and select the friend you want to trade with.
- You should have enough trade tokens and a trade hourglass, which is required for trading.
- Select the card that ignited this fire of trade.
- Offer the card with the same rarity to equal the trade.
- Wait for your friend to accept the trade.
