Here are a few things that make Calyrex Ice Rider as strong as it is. It has a massive Attack stat of 165, and its signature move, Glacial Lance, has 120 base power. Calyrex Ice Rider also gets STAB on this move, which targets both opponents in VGC. Its bulk is massive thanks to its 100/150/130 defenses, and if that is not enough, it also has Leech Seed to heal itself while sapping the opponent’s HP.
Finally, if it’s typing with six weaknesses (Bug, Fire, Steel, Rock, Dark, and Ghost) becomes an issue, it can Terastallize into either Water or Fire for better defensive capability.
