Pokimane opened up about an incident with OfflineTV where she missed an opportunity for a million dollars because of the organization’s manager.
On May 19, 2023, Pokimane announced that she would be leaving OfflineTV (OTV). It appeared that the Twitch celebrity would be a part of the organization indefinitely because she co-founded the content creator group in 2017 and was a staple in the years that followed. This came as a shock to everyone; however, it was clear that Pokimane was facing a number of issues with the organization.
In a recent Sweet N Sour podcast, Pokimane opened up about one of her biggest disagreements with OTV. She stated that she missed out on a whopping one-million-dollar deal because of the disagreement. She explained the whole incident and said:
“What occurred was jelly (fake brand name) came to my agent, and said, “hey! We wanna give Poki a million dollar deal!” Which is insane, that is very very very rare. And I’m like ‘Poggers, that’s crazy.'”
Pokimane then talked about how the OTV manager came up to her and said that she couldn’t do an individual deal. He told her that they wanted to collaborate with a different brand “as a group.” She continued:
“The OTV manager came to me and said, “you can not take this million dollar deal because we, as a group, want to partner with Peanut Butter (fake brand name 2.)” Like why take a deal that would c**kblock me, from so much money, right?”

Why Did Pokimane Leave OfflineTV?
According to Pokimane, she thought that it was best for the organization and for herself to move on, so she made the decision to quit OfflineTV. During her May 20, 2023, stream, the online celebrity went into further detail about it, saying that full-time participation in the group came with a lot of obligations and responsibilities, and finding the time to fulfill them had become more challenging.
On the one hand, Pokimane didn’t want to disappoint her fans, who expected her to be at all of their events and partnerships, nor did she want the organization to have to worry about organizing things around her. For instance, Pokimane was unable to join OTV’s 2022 trip to Japan since she had already committed to attending TwitchCon in Europe.
However, as she was leaving, she made it clear that she would still be in touch with the organization and open to collaborating with them. She said:
“I feel like I’ll always be a part of the OTV family, especially living in LA. We can always do things together.”
