In this article, we shall go over the new Clash rework, or remaster, making its way to Rainbow Six Siege X in Operation Daybreak.

Rainbow Six Siege X Operation Daybreak is right around the corner, and the new season (and relaunch) is bringing with it a ton of new features. These features include modernized maps, graphical overhauls, balancing updates, a new game mode, and so much more. The most exciting of these features, however, is the Clash rework.
Clash has been part of the Rainbow Six Siege roster since Operation Grim Sky, and has seen various buffs and nerfs since her introduction. The operator has been both a frustrating operator to play as and against, and is largely a liability in most setups. Noticing the operator’s underutilized potential, Ubisoft is now reworking, or remastering Clash for Operation Daybreak.
The operator now keeps all the abilities that were unique to her, with some additional tweaks that improve her synergy with other operators. If you wish to know more about the Clash rework, read along to find out.

What Is the New Clash Rework in Rainbow Six Siege X?

To understand the rework, you first need to understand how Clash has worked for most of her existence in the game. Clash is a shield operator who uses her shield to tase enemies and slow them down. Her taser chips away HP slowly, allowing her to finish off enemies at low HP. Unlike her shield counterparts, her shield is a fully body shield, and she cannot ADS while using it. Using a weapon means putting the shield on her back and leaving her fully exposed.
Now, the rework changes a good chunk of what you know about the British operator. The biggest and most important change is her ability to remove her shield. Clash can now place her shield down on the floor. She can then manually use the shield’s tasers to slow enemies down from afar, and then swing them as they’re vulnerable. This opens up possibilities of blocking off doorways and holding angles during last-second pushes.
To make up for this, her shield now deals no damage and can only slow enemies down. Her movement has been improved, allowing her to sprint with her shield in front of her, breaking through barricades along the way. She also has a free look that will let her stay aware of her surroundings at all times.

As OP as the new Clash may sound, she is not without her counters. The traditional counters, such as Zofia and Kal, remain ever prevalent. Sledge, too, is now a counter. If he gets close enough, he can knock her down for a free kill.
If her shield is deployed, any explosive tool is sufficient to destroy it. Ash or a Flores would do well against the deployed shields. If she’s not nearby, you can also simply approach the shield and bash through it to destroy it.
