Rainbow Six Siege X is a PvP shooter, and as is the case with any game in this genre, there are a ton of currencies you have to manage. The most basic of currencies in the game is Renown, which is used to purchase operators, skins, Alpha Packs, and so much more. Then come the R6 Credits, which are the game’s premium currency. These are for purchasing Elite skins, Esports content, and other premium skins.

The process of acquiring these two currencies is fairly simple, and you’re likely to have no confusion regarding them. What you may be confused about, however, are the Competitive Coins. Competitive Coins are a third currency in Rainbow Six Siege X and are a relatively recent addition to the game. This third currency allows you to purchase Competitive Packs, giving you access to some of the rarest skins in the game.

Acquiring Competitive Coins, however, is a different ball game. The game gives you no hints or direction on how to get them, and if you’re totally lost, you’ve come to the right place. In this guide, we shall go over how to get Competitive Coins in Rainbow Six Siege X.

You get Competitive Coins in Rainbow Six Siege X by playing the Ranked and Siege Cup game modes. Siege Cup is the easier of the two and grants you Competitive Coins each time you participate. The further you go in the tournament, the more Competitive Coins you get. In our experience, we got 4,500 Competitive Coins for placing first in the tournament, while only 371 for placing third. Try to win to get the most coins.

Playing Ranked is the other way of getting the coins, but you only receive these coins at the end of the season. Each time you progress through a rank, you get 1,000 Competitive Coins, and these points stack across the ranks until you finish the season. So, let’s say you finished in Platinum for the season. You’ll then get 1,000 points each for Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum ranks for that season, totaling 4,000 Competitive Coins. Therefore, the higher your rank, the more Competitive Coins you get.
