Inspecting your weapon has been a part of various other competitive shooters for years at this point. Finally, this feature has now been added to Rainbow Six Siege X in the latest patch notes revealed for June 10, 2025.

The process to do so is simple and straightforward. The default keybind for this action should be the ‘I’ key on your keyboard. For controller players, the control should be linked to Y on Xbox or Triangle on PlayStation. Holding down these buttons should initiate weapon inspect.
However, if this does not work for you, you can still find the required controls.
Open the menu, and head into the Options category. While in this section, you can proceed to the Customize Controls tab, and check or set a new keybind for inspecting your weapon.
