Racing game lovers can rejoice with Assetto Corsa EVO’s official announcement. Here are 5 reasons you should be excited about it!

Assetto Corsa EVO has been announced and will be making its way to you on January 16, 2025. Unfortunately, the game will be released in Early Access first, only for PC users. Console users will have to wait until the game’s full release.
Moreover, this planned date for Early Access is also subject to be postponed if things don’t go right for the team. But we expect to see some action on the given date. PC players can wishlist this game on Steam to know when it’s ready for download.
Until then, let us hype you up with some reasons as to why you should be excited for the upcoming game Assetto Corsa EVO. Kindly note that we are presenting the information below based on what we already know of the game, which is subject to change later. The article also contains the writer’s personal opinions.
Looking Out For Assetto Corsa EVO
1. Graphical Prowess

We live in an era where the graphics are getting more and more realistic with each passing project. However, it is still not an easy task to execute it all perfectly. Assetto Corsa EVO, on the other hand, looks gorgeous. We don’t have a lot of media available from the game. But if you are interested enough, you can visit the official Steam page and check out what a beauty the developers are preparing. In action, the game will look even better when it is fully polished.
2. Realistic Cars

Ever since the beginning of the franchise in 2014, Assetto Corsa was known for including real-world car models in the game, crediting their original manufacturers. These licensed cars create a realistic effect in the game and make you feel like a true racer! There were DLC packs in the first game that introduced ‘concept cars,’ but this was discontinued for the second installment. Looks like the game is carrying on the original legacy of sticking to real-world cars only.
3. Mods and Customization

Both the games before Assetto Corsa EVO featured official customizations and mod support. While customizing a car is an important part of any racing game, modding is completely optional in every game. The developers support it to expand the community by letting the players have fun and giving a creative space to the modders. The first game had good mod support. Assetto Corsa Competizione, however, was a bit restrictive. Hopefully, the game will go all in with its official customizations and still give us room for interesting mods.

4. Racing Maps

As of now, we don’t have much information on the maps that Assetto Corsa EVO will bring with it. However, as far as the official Steam page is concerned, the in-game screenshots suggest that there will be some variety in maps. It won’t be all in the middle of a stadium. In fact, some screenshots show hilly regions as well. To top it all off, there appears to be some sort of dynamic weather system which will make the races more interesting. Imagine outspeeding your friend when they are struggling to keep up with slippery rainy roads.
5. Multiplayer Modes Return

Assetto Corsa EVO will bring back the multiplayer. Ever since the first game, online PVP was a thing. There is not much fun in racing games unless you can outrun a speeding opponent. And what better way to boost your gamer ego than winning a multiplayer match? The answer is, beating a friend. That’s right. Just like Competizione, the latest installment will also feature a LAN multiplayer mode alongside online PVP. This will be an exciting feature to experience alongside other things that we listed above.
