Chaos in Israel
In April 2024, Johnny Somali was arrested in Israel after harassing a female police officer. The streamer was seen catcalling the officer before getting tackled by a male officer. Somali was seen on stream saying:
“Oh, you’re a bad b***h. I swear to god. You’re a bad b***h. I’ll take you to dinner, I swear to god, I’ll change your life. I’ll change your life, I promise you. You’re a bad b***h right here. However, he was later released. Johnny also found himself in dire situations time and time again in Israel. Somali was involved in a physical altercation with locals and was beaten up. He was later robbed and assaulted during his time in Tel Aviv. The streamer also made inappropriate remarks against Jewish people. He was later apprehended for the same in Israel.
Johnny Somali in South Korea
Johnny visited South Korea in September 2024, where the streamer was live streaming his time in the country and was seen causing chaos since day 1. Somali played an offensive soundtrack during a live music show by the locals. After which, the streamer was removed from the location. An account by the name @CancelJohnnyS had posted his antics.

He was later criticized for playing offensive TTS during an arcade visit and on the streets of Seoul. The account posted the following on X:
“Johnny Somali’s annoying TTS/Media is back in Korea, Allahu Akbar is being played in the streets, and Kim Jong Un’s TTS is being played in arcades.”
Kissing the Statue of Peace
In October 2024, Ismael sparked outrage by kissing the Statue of Peace in Itaewon, Seoul, a memorial dedicated to victims of wartime sexual slavery. He also performed a lewd dance in front of the statue, further disrespecting the statue. In the livestream, he claimed:
“Japan hates these things. I love Korea, and everything that I did in Japan was for Korean and Chinese people.”

The streamer later apologized about the incident, stating that he did not know about the importance of the statue. However, this did not sit well with the netizens who slammed his apology by stating that it was fake. He was later banned on YouTube, where he was streaming his trip in South Korea.
Attacked by an Ex-South Korean Special Force Operator
Later in October 2024, Somali was attacked in Seoul by an ex-Navy SEAL whose name is Dalgeun Yu. The altercation followed the statue incident, after which both individuals were detained by South Korean authorities. Several “bounties” were placed on Somali’s head, and anyone who could provide his location was rewarded handsomely by the Koreans. This led to many such incidents with Johnny getting assaulted.

The streamer was later arrested in South Korea for causing a nuisance in a convenience store. He was accused of making sexist remarks and creating disturbances in Seoul. After which, he was placed under a travel ban. He is facing several charges, which include obstruction of business, assault, and drug use. He is reportedly facing up to ten years in South Korean prison.
