With the Rematch beta finally coming to a close after waves of successful plays, the launch sits as the next stage. With all the wonderful feedback Slocalp has so gracefully received from the fans, they have now striven to make amendments to the game before the tentative launch. In this article, we will be focusing on which updates you can expect in terms of goalkeeper and defensive plays in Rematch.

Goalkeeper & Dive

Long invulnerability is now 7 seconds, and short invulnerability is 2.65 seconds. New and shorter invulnerability duration after receiving passes.

Nets and goalposts now provide much clearer feedback when the goalkeeper catches a ball and is invulnerable.

Outfield Dive Rework

  1. Hitboxes reworked to hit more targets
  2. Diving will have different dynamics and range. This depends on whether the player is running/sprinting.
  3. Dive range is slightly buffed in defence mode

The outfield, one of the core features for defenders, will record some improvements. These changes have made the ability more usable and flexible compared to the beta. More impactful changes will follow suit for launch.

Defense and Tackle

Sliding Tackle Dynamics

  1. Sliding tackle movement speed is 5% slower at the beginning of the tackle and is 5% slower by the end of the animation.
  2. A player getting up from a sliding tackle while sprinting will now gradually accelerate to full sprint speed (V3).

Hindering (Body Block)

  1. Fix of a bug that deactivated the hindering effect during ability execution
  2. Fix for hindering effect on the goalkeeper in Defense Mode. Earlier, the goalkeeper would go through the player. This will also apply to players in the center field.

The hindering effect will apply when there is contact between two players. This will create a physical contact between the two players.
