Here we will be discussing how the ranking system works in Rematch and how you can rise quicker among the ranks.

Ranking up in Rematch is where the real fun begins. Not only do you get to meet your match, but you also get bragging rights. There are six different ranking leagues currently in Rematch. As the game is at its initial phase, you have the edge to rank up quickly. The reason is everyone is still getting a gist of how the game works and the competition is slightly on a neutral level. In this article, we will be talking about how to rank up quicker in Rematch.
How to Rank up in Rematch

Ranked matches officially unlock once you reach level 5. It doesn’t take more than a couple of hours if you are quick to understand the fundamentals of the game and win a few matches in unranked. Once you reach the level, you can begin your quest to rise through the ranks. You will have to play five placement matches in the beginning. These would help determine exactly which rank would be the perfect fit for you to go against like-skilled opponents.
The ranking system is as straightforward as it gets. The more matches you win, the faster you rank up. There is no in-between. While individual performances may have a slight nudge by an RP point here and there, what majorly counts is the win. Once you are assigned a rank, you will begin to gain ranked points (RP) in accordance to your wins or losses. You can estimate roughly 20 RP to be awarded or deducted per game.
Once you gain over 100 RP in a league, you will climb up by one division. For example, you will rise from Bronze 3 to Bronze 1 if you were to begin with Bronze 3.) Once you reach the top of the league, i.e., Bronze 1, you will jump leagues to Silver 3. Here is a guide on how the ranking of leagues and divisions works in Rematch to give you a better idea.
Currently, you can only play ranked matches in the 5VS5 game mode. There is no official confirmation whether the ranked leagues will be brought to the other game modes. Only time will tell.
Tips
When playing in ranked matches, it is best to squad up rather than team up with strangers. The communication is always offbeat, and this leads to miscommunication. Passes will be out of sync, and no one will have an idea of each other’s strengths and weaknesses. When you play with your friends, everyone will know their role and key positions to steer the game as per your team’s rhythm.
Try mastering a position and be consistent with it. Be it goalkeeping, defending, playmaking, or striking—honing your skills with one of these will help you rake up more points. It is better than running cluelessly around the pitch without even getting a touch on the ball. Lastly, practice before you embark on this quest to greatness.
